On a Memorable Day

Yesterday was Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday. Here in America, in Washington D.C, everyone is also getting ready for the inauguration of our 44th and next President of the United States. We went to D.C. yesterday afternoon. We took the metro and then walked to the Washington Mall. My dad wanted me to experience this important part of the history. It was so nice. Everyone seems to be happy…people of all color and all race celebrating. I hope one day, we will offer many such moments in all corners of the world, including India. I was watching part of Dr. King’s speech in D.C in TV. I did not understand many of the things he said. But it certainly inspired so many people. If that created what is happening in America today in forty years then I have hope….that one day we will break the barriers and reach….yes we will….

  5. Thank you so much for the kind words and support. You all are so special. I am feeling like we really can make a difference in this world. Thank you.

Mr. Porwal: Citizens of every country can do a lot for this cause. If you are from India then you can also do many other things. Here are some ideas:

    1. Spread the word. Involve a kid whom you know.

    2. Post in our blog, share your thoughts and ideas.

    3. Stay in touch by joining our mailing list, help us spend the funds in the right way so that the money reaches the victims.

    4. If you want to contribute funds then you can donate using credit cards; you can also contribute funds by simply clicking on the Google Ads at the bottom of the kidsformumbai.org website. We already raised $5 through that and every dollar counts.

Mr. Phadnis: Thank you sir for your kind words. My Grandpa also reads this blog regularly and writes here sometimes. We need the support from your generation for making the world better.

Mr. Patel: Thanks for your encouragement. I am really touched by so many awesome people like you all who are joining hands to help this cause.

Mr. Abhay: Thank you for your kind words and spreading the word. Please give my hello to Sonali. She is most welcome to write here if she wants. I will send out an invitation.
